I first met Steve and Katrina in May of 2017, when I photographed them for their engagement pictures. They were a fun, loving and cool couple that were so laid back and up for anything when it came to pictures. They haven’t changed much since that first time we met and photographing their wedding was as much fun as their engagement.
Their wedding ceremony and reception was held at the Boarden Banquet Centre and we photographed their wedding portraits at the amazing Adamson Estate. I hope you enjoy viewing these images as much I enjoyed taking them!
What do you love the most about Katrina?
I love the way Katrina speaks her mind, she lets me know exactly what she wants. Her smile just brightens up a room. Katrina has a great relationship with her parents and they have taken me in as their own which is another reason why I love her. I am so glad to be a part of her family now, it makes me feel like I belong. We have a lot of the same interest which makes life easy for us because we rarely have a conflict when we try to decide on something to do. She is the best thing to happen to me and I love her with everything in my heart.
What do you love the most about Steve?
He is so understanding and kind and I have no idea how he puts up with me but he does and I love him for it. He has a smile that could cheer up anyone. The love he has for family is amazing, no matter what; he stands by their side.
A Little More About Katrina & Steve
How did you meet? And how long have you been together?
Steve and I met on OK Cupid which is an online dating site.
Where was your first date? What did you do?
Our first date was to the movies but before we got there I spotted a guy on the side of the road that looked hurt. I told Steve to stop the car and I got out to help the man he was not breathing. I started to give him CPR and that’s when the ambulance got there and took over. We stayed until we knew he was OK then we took off. Steve had no idea what just happened he thought I was some kind of a hero lol. After all that he still wanted to go out on our date. Since then we have been together.
How and when did Steve propose?
We went to Niagara falls (I had never been before). It was a very magical time. It was for our two year anniversary so we spent some extra cash to get the falls view suite. We planned on seeing the fireworks on the Friday, so we went down and found a spot. As we waited, we talk but I could tell he was nervous about something. We watched the fireworks and afterwards he grabbed something out of his pocket. He handed me two pennies to make a wish, he told me to look at the dates on them. One had my birth year and the other had his. He then told me to make a wish. So I proceeded to throw them in, as I turned around I found him on his knee and ring box open. Before he could say a word I was crying and saying yes. Every one around us was cheering and clapping. Must I say it was magical.
